Today I am going to share a couple of Christmas cards using NON-Christmas stamps sets.  I always like stamp sets that are versatile for many different occasions - sometimes you just have to think out of the square a little!

First up is the Delicate Doilies set to create this stunning Christmas Snowflake card:

I absolutely adore this card - the colour scheme, the overall look, everything!  But I think my favorite part of it is the gorgeous shimmer that I achieved by mixing some Frost White Shimmer Paint with some Isopropyl Alcohol in a little spritzer -YUM!

Materials
Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Snow Swirled, Tiny Tags
Cardstock: Real Red, Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: Pool Party, Real Red
Other: Corner Rounder Punch, Circle Punches, Real Red Satin Ribbon, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Isopropyl Alcohol

The second card I created is this Christmas Bauble card, using the My Friend Stamp Set.

I'm not entirely happy with the layout of this card, but LOVE the baubles!  It's a little hard to see in the photos, but the red baubles have been coated with Crystal Effects so they have a glorious bauble shine!  The green baubles have been coated with green Supernova glitter.

Materials
Stamps: My Friend, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Real Red, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark, Real Red & Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Heat Tool, Black Embossing Powder, Supernova Glitter, Crystal Effects, White Gel Pen, Corner Rounder Punch

To celebrate our blog hop, we are offering some Blog Candy. To be in to win, visit & leave a comment on each blog in the hop.  Once you are finished, email your name & location to Sharlene T.  Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are not eligible to win the blog candy.

I hope you have enjoyed today's projects!  Now it's time to continue the hop by going to visit the talented Carole Stedman.  Have a great weekend everyone!!

I so love the dew drop looking card. Great concept for a chrissy card. The doilies fill such space...hmmm...cogs clunkin'. Great cards Sharlene.

Sharlene, I got the Hello Friend set which I planned on using the baubles to make Christmas cards - using gold or silver embossing powder. Love the glitter and the chrystal effects you used with it - that will be another technique I can use to give me another option with that set!!! Thanks :)
