Probably one of the best parts of these events is the meeting and sharing with other demonstrators both from New Zealand and Australia. Demonstrators really are some of the nicest people around, and they are all so happy to share ideas and success stories.
Here are just a few of the people I spent time with over the weekend:

L to R: Nicole Derendorf (Adelaide), Lisa Beck (Paraparaumu), Me, my totally awesome room mate Laura Burns (Adelaide), Kim Kilroy (Adelaide) This pic was taken at the end of the Awards evening, so we were all glammed up!

L to R: Megan Finer (New Plymouth), Michelle Habib (New Plymouth), Shelli Gardner (Co-founder & CEO of Stampin' Up!), Lisa Beck (Paraparaumu), Sharlene Torres (New Plymouth), Me. This pic was taken at the Managers Reception on Friday night where we enjoyed the yummiest fruit cocktails & Asian influenced nibbles.
The major announcement that Stampin' Up! made during the weekend is that we will be shifting to a September Idea Book & Catalogue launch time. Why the change? Well, the United States have their new IBC launched in July each year, and Stampin' Up! is wanting to bring all of their markets into line with each other. So by shifting our IBC date to September we will now only be a couple of months behind the US. What does this mean for the current IBC? The current IBC will stay in effect until September 2010, however to make up for this we will be getting an extra Mini Catalogue this year. I think the change is a really exciting development and I am looking forward to sharing more detail about the change once we hear more.
One of the main events of each Convention is the Awards & Recognition evening. This year I was very excited to have earned a 30K Sales Award, along with a Level 1 Recruiting Award. However I was absolutely stunned to also be named 6th in Demonstrator of the Year Award. I would like to thank all of my wonderful customers, as well as the fabulous members of my team, who constantly inspire and support me. I could not get these awards without all of your support, so from the bottom of my heart - Thank You. It was also fantastic to see one of my team members name up on the big screen this year too - Congratulations to Keryn Campbell for her Sales Award!
Here is a pic of me on stage with some of the other Demonstrator of the Year winners:

L to R: Shelli Gardner, Aaron Scott (OZ Business Manager), Emma Parkin-Wilson (NZ Business Manager), Megan Finer, Rachel Knight, Me, Michelle Habib, Lisa Beck, Angela Corbett
I look forward to sharing more from Convention here over the next few days, including some of the great projects we saw and swapped!
