Photobucket

I stamped the image using Stazon ink onto watercolour paper and coloured it using my Aquapainter and inkpad lids. I based the card on a sketch by Julee Tilman, using the Ginger Blossom DSP from the new summer mini. I have another card to share using this stamp set later in the week.

Elegant Thank You

This card was made as a thank you for a very generous hostess, who's favourite colours are Blue & Yellow.

Photobucket

The flower image is one from the Eastern Blooms stamp set, and I have added a little Chunky Sprinkles (also new in the Summer Mini!) to give it a bit of bling! I have layered the flower up on a couple of different mats for a regal, elegant look. You may also notice that the So Saffron background, and white squares have been stamped with the En Francais background stamp using So Saffron ink - I felt it added to the regal feel of the card.
Here is a close up of one of the flowers

Materials
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, En Francais
Cardstock: Brocade Blue, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink: Brocade Blue, So Saffron
Other: Chunky Sprinkles, Scallop Square Punch, Square Punch, Scallop Edge Punch

Simple Embrace

This is a very simple card that I designed as a Make n Take for my team stamping day last weekend. I purposefully wanted something simple that they could use at a future workshop, but also to show that simple can still be really effective.

Photobucket

Once again I am using a stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue. The image was stamped using Creamy Caramel ink and then shaded using the same colour ink and a blender pen. If you are intersted in any of these new products, don't hesitate to email me.

Materials
Stamps: Embrace Life
Cardstock: Ballet Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Pumpkin Pie
Other: Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon, Mat Pack

KWerner Challenge # 33

Gosh this week just seems to have disappeared - I can't believe it is time for another colour challenge from Kristina Werner

Here is the inspiration piece for the week
Photobucket

Each week I always look at Kristina challenge post and then go away and think about it for a few hours before sitting down to make anything. Usually I think of an idea whilst doing the supermarket shopping or something else boring like that, but this week I just could not come up with a plan of attack at all!! So I sat down and got all the colours out on my desk, and straight away the gorgeous combo of Teal, Pumpkin & Chocolate Chip got my creativity flowing! Then all I had to do was get the Celery in there too! Anway here is what I came up with and I LOVE it! The colours really are just so striking together!

Photobucket

I've used the new Live Your Dreams stamp set along with the Scallop Border Punch from the Summer Mini Catalogue. My absolute favourite though, from the new mini, has to be the Felt Fusion! A whole tin of GORGEOUS felt flowers!! Here is a closeup of the one I used on this card:

Materials
Stamps: Live Your Dream
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Taken with Teal, Certainly Celery, Bali Breeze DSP
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip

A team swap challenge!

My Stampin' Up team had our end of year stamp day at the weekend. I set them all a swap challenge to create cards using only Black, White and a splash of one other colour! It is actually trickier than it sounds - mainly trying to choose which other colour you are going to use (in the end I went with Rose Red)!! Here is the card I made:

Photobucket

The images are from the great Eastern Blooms set from the NEW Summer Mini, which has just been released! The card also uses the new Scallop Edge Punch, and Rose Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, also from the Summer Mini.
